Type: Deciduous

Form: A small to medium sized, multi-stemmed tree

Soil Type: Clay, loam, sand, poorly drained, moist

Light: Partial shade, partial sun

Foliage: Opposite, simple, oval, 2 to 4 inches long

Blooms: Late spring to early summer

Flowers: Dull white in cluster about 2 inches across

Fruit: Blue colored drupe, will form in a cluster that is 2 inches across, maturing in late summer.

Values and Uses: Used for field windbreaks and wildlife boarders. A great riparian species. Also can be used for wildlife habitat improvement, slope stabilization, and as an ornamental.
