No Tree Left Behind
A Tree Care & Maintenance Workshop
Any Virginian interested in the care and maintenance of trees both young and old would do well to attend a workshop in Roanoke called "No Tree Left Behind: Care and Maintenance for Trees of All Ages."
Sponsored by Trees Virginia, the day-long workshop runs from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5th at Virginia Western Community College.
Early registration (before Feb. 29th) is $70, but discounts are available for students, non-profit organizations and municipal governments. Breakfast is included in the fee.
Sessions include: “Maintaining Young Trees After Establishment;” “The Pruning and Care of Older Trees;” “Remarkable and Big Trees of Virginia;” “Restoring Shade Trees to Dignity Following a Major Storm;” “Invasive Woody Plants;” “Hands-on Juvenile Tree Care,” and “Measuring a Tree for Ranking.”
