Work Camper Program
Augusta and New Kent Forestry Centers
Full-time campers volunteer at least ten hours of work per week per person in return for their stay at the facility. Both facilities offer a diversity of work interests, ranging from collecting and planting seed, to tree seedling grafting and greenhouse work, grounds keeping and carpentry. There is something for everyone at our nurseries. Interested? Call for more information.
Our campground has been featured in "Workcamper News", and both are so popular that many travelers have returned more than once. Since the campgrounds stay booked, campers are reminded to call well in advance to secure a site.
