Tree seedlings are lifted at one of the virginia department of Forestry's Forestry Centers. The seedlings are taken to the "Grading Room" where they are sorted, counted and packaged for storage. Seedlings are planted using a "planting bar." Planted seedlings are checked randomly to ensure they were planted properly.
