Chip Mills

A chip mill is a manufacturing operation that turns wood or tree stems into chips. The wood chips are then available to pulp mills or wood plants that manufacture products such as chip board, flake board, and oriented strand board. The chips can be turned into “pulp” for use by the paper industry. Oriented strand board, flake board, and chip board is vital to the housing industry and homeowner remodeling projects.
